Lee Dong Wook who long time no see, suddenly appears in D.GNAK and SONG ZIO man suit's show at SETEC Convention Center, Daechi, Seoul on march, 18th.
Now Dong Wook looks skinner, pale, and also have a bit mustache. This new appearance made the fans got shocked.
Apparently Wookie just come back after three weeks shoot of Bittersweet Life in Hokkaido, Japan. We can looks clearly that he is so tired, what is going on with him?
Not A Nice Man Anymore
Now, Lee Dong Wook and Bittersweet Life crew are rushing to finishing this drama, so it can be aired ontime at middle of May. In drama that earlier titles was Demon Living In My Body, Dong Wook cast as Lee Joon Soo, a man who have an affair with a 10 years old elder woman named Yoon Hye Jin (Oh Yun Soo). They both met in Sky Resort Hokkaido, Japan.
Hye Jin and her husband, Ha Dong Won (Jung Bo Suk) married life is not in harmony anymore. While Dong Won have an affair with younger woman (park Si Yeon), Hye Jin is have an affair with Joon Soo.
From the plot, it can be seen that Dong Wook's character is not a nice man anymore like what he ussualy portrayed in romantic comedy drama.
As Dong Wook said, the director and producer Kim Jin Man helping him so much to got into the character, which he called 'demon'.
"Many people think, our relationship is just as common as elder woman to young man. But the story plot is not only an affair, but more than that. I'm sorry i cann't spoil to much about the story," said a man who started his career as a model.
Shooting Without Script
During shoot in Japan, Jin Man not provide a script but he only describing the character to Dong Wook. It's look like, Jin Man want to copy the technic that ussually used by director Wong Kar Wai from Hongkong. The consequence is sometime make Dong Wook get bored, because the script writer, Jung Ha Yeon, not want to spoil to much. The thing that Dong Wook can did is only following the director instruction and act with instinct.
Director ask me to leave "the demon" and conflict of mine, this character is a man who used his friend and there are also some bad side of him. That's why i think Joon Soo is a challenging character," said Dong Wook whose career for nine years always act as a good student or rich man.
"Have a role in romance or comedy is more easier. And this time, my role is so complicated and need more effort. I have been motivated to act as good as i can. Sometime i felt tired and disgusted with Joon Soo when i'm in shooting. But after that, i feel that my acting's level is increasing," said a man who was born on Nov, 06th 1981.
In this MBC series, Dong Wook's girl is Jumong star Oh Yun Soo. Has Dong Wook feel clumsy being paired with elder woman?
"For the first, i'm feel awkward because i have a lot of intimate role with Yun Soo nuna (sister). Basicly i'm a shy person, but after 22 days shoot in Hokkaido made us more familiar each other" said Dong Wook.
Because of the limited time, the shoot is rushing. Sometime the director satisfied just with one take. Like some kissing scene betwen Dong Wook and Yun Soo, they even not need to practise before.
Is there any interesting occurance while take a shoot? "During 22 days shooting, the snow never absence to fall. Is this interesting? Anyway, shooting around the snow is very tired and difficult for us," sigh Dong Wook. The 22 days shooting portion will be the 4th first episode of Bittersweet Life.
Ready If He Is Called For Military Service
At his age into 27 years old, Dong Wook be one of actor who implement duty of Korean men, that is do military service for 2 years. Dong Wook certains that he will go into military service in this year.
Although that, he still don’t know when will he go into there exactly yet .It could be done at the middle of this year, after he finished his new drama, Bittersweetlife, or at the end of this year. Exactly when, Dongwook admitted he has ready for it.
“I did hard training when did my drama in Japan. We took location of this drama in an sky resort, top of mountain.It’s location 4000 feets on surface of the land. Of course, we had many problems or obstacles. Because I got success for that, I’ll be confident more if I’ll be called into military service later.”his said.(the rival of Park Yong Ha in Loving You)
Dong Wook said that he will not avoid or delay military service as did by almost of Korean actors. “Because it’ll be duty that must be done by all of Korea Selatan men to serve their country” his said again.
Fans Want Dong Wook And Da Hae To Be Dated.
At the middle of last februari, a Korean netter said that has proof that Dong Wook be engaged with his partner in My Girl, Lee da Hae. This netter also posts proof of pictures likely hat, handphone hanger, and frame that contain of their picture in their house.
Dong Wook that heard this when he did his Drama, Bittersweetlife, only just laughing, then he called lee da hae to talked about this. Da Hae just laughing to heard it too. Both of them very happy that fans like them.But they dispute it because they were just only friend.
“this frame of picture and hat are the gift of South East Asia fans. I think that they very like us as couple in serial. Me and Da Hae held fansmeeting separately.But our fans give us same gifts. Even more they also give our picture in one frame because fans want us to be engaged/dated.”dongwook said it with laughing.
“I want say thank you very much to our fans that supported My Girl. Eventhough 2 years has gone since My Girl is presented in television. Because of My Girl too, I also has many fans and I’ll be known until outside of Korea country.”his said.
Remember Japan, Remember Warmer Pocket.
When Bittersweetlife is done, Dong Wook feel luck of My Girl popularity is presented in one of Japan televison station.” In Japan, I didn’t need worry about warmer pocket. Because the heavy snow falling down when I did this Drama, I would be influenza.But I can feel warm with kairo (warmer pocket in one using) is sent by the fans.”his said
“ Everyday.I need 30 warmer pocket. After I did this Drama, there are still 100 warmer pocket.”his said with laughing. Can Imagine how many are warmer pocket is accepted by Dong wook.
“Each time I held on warmer pocket, I would remember my fans in Japan”his said again.
Beside warmer pocket, It’s report that everyday, his fans visited location of Bittersweetlife and bring various foods, and vitamin for the idol. Even more, there are the fans who bargain themselves to be supernumerary in this drama.

When he was still in Japan, dong Wook held fans meeting is attended by approximately 400 people at 2 March, 3 days before Bittersweetlife Crew go back to Korea. Eventhough he was very busy, Dong Wook who properly is very tired, he still comforted his fans.
He played the games and served fans’s request to took his picture together with them .His fatigue is showned when repeatedly he wiped off his eyes with his back hand so he wouldn’t sleep. This fansmeeting is attended by his fans of various age. From chid,teenager, official women in the office, youngest until old women/men.
When handshake session, clearly showned good manners of Dong Wook. When he shook hands with old women/men fans, he would humiliated his body very low.
When he shook hands with fans who using wheel chair, Dong wook would to hold on their hands gentlely. When a very old women gave him a handsweep to be used. Dong Wook said thanx to her and used it directly to wiped off his brow.
Evenmore there is very old men (approximately 60 years old) who was wearing shirt that have picture of Baby’s Dong wook in it, spontaneously Dong Wook feel very happy.”It is picture of me,isn’t it? yes, it is me.”his said while he appointed this shirt.
